(FAIS) From Idea to Successful Business

Course Overview

This interactive course will guide children aged 6 to 9 through the exciting journey of turning an idea into a successful business. Kids will learn the basics of entrepreneurship, creativity, and teamwork through fun activities, storytelling, and hands-on projects.

Course Outline

Week 1: Introduction to Business

- **What is a Business?**

- Simple definitions and examples of businesses around them (e.g., lemonade stands and toy stores).

Week 2: Finding Your Idea

- **Brainstorming Ideas**

- Encourage kids to think about their interests and hobbies. What do they love? How could it become a business?

Week 3: Planning Your Business

- **Creating a Business Plan**

- Introduce the basic elements: What will you sell? Who are your customers? How will you sell it?

Week 4: Money Matters

- **Understanding Money**

- Teach basic concepts of money, pricing, and profit.

Week 5: Branding and Marketing

- **What is a Brand?**

- Discuss logos, names, and what makes a business special.

Week 6: Building Your Product or Service

- **Creating a Prototype**

- Guide kids in making a simple version of their product or service.

Week 7: Selling Your Product

- **How to Sell**

- Discuss different ways to sell their products (e.g., online, at a market, to friends).

Week 8: Reflection and Celebration

- **What Did We Learn?**

- Reflect on the journey from idea to sale. What worked? What didn’t?

Learning Goals

- Understand the basic concepts of entrepreneurship.

- Develop creativity and critical thinking skills.

- Learn the importance of teamwork and communication.

- Gain confidence in presenting ideas and products.

Materials Needed

- Gmail email address

- Art supplies (paper, markers, scissors, glue)

- Play money for activities

- Simple business plan templates (use Google Docs)

- Access to a space for the Business Fair

Conclusion

This course will teach kids about business and inspire them to think creatively and work collaboratively. By the end of the course, they will have a greater understanding of how ideas can turn into reality, equipping them with skills they can use in the future.

Examination

After finishing all 8 weeks of assignments, there will be a final exam

Certificate

By the end of the course, they will receive a course report and a certificate. After completing the 25 courses they will receive GoGrowKids by bewclub powered by easybew Inc.
